Tuesday

This morning there was nothing to rush about so I decided to cook breakfast outside on my griddle.  Johnny left for a 10 am seminar and I stayed behind to sweep floors! change linens and be with the dogs while resting my knee. Daisey was a little better and walked farther down the road. No shaking all day and even barking at someone who came to see us.

I still haven't pulled out the machine but hope to do so tonight since I don't have to cook dinner. Did I tell you I sold one of my table runners?   Hope to sell more this week. So I walked the dogs on and off during the day but as it started to really warm up I didn't walk as far.

We are at the afternoon seminars and will go back to feed and walk the dogs then back up here to have a Fried Chicken Dinner. Then I hope Johnny and will ride around for a while and see the sites......

Monday

Our first full day of the Rally was a long one for us. The night before I woke up at 3am when Daisey tried to get out of bed to use her pp pad. This time I was not able to go back to sleep.  For the first time we were late getting up and had 20 minutes to be at the rec center for breakfast. Should have taken our time.  Breakfast was ok and there weren't that many people there.

Last night at the meet and greet dinner the hamburger soup they had was wonderful......hope they post the recipe so I can try it. But I really think I could wing it.  Now talk about a small world.  As we are sitting there eating I'm looking around the room and see a familiar face.  I asked Jim and Sheryl if they recognized him.  Jim did right away.  It turned out to be one of the Sergeants I worked for when I was in 911. So I haven't seen him in over 25 years.

After we were done with seminars the four of us piled in our car and motored out of the resort and almost across the stree to a huge seafood buffet. They even had a mermaid swimming in a pool inside the resturant. Lots of very good seafood to choose from, plus a carving station and salad bar.  Sheryl and I were celebrating our birthdays both in September so we picked where we wanted to go.
We returned to our campsite and Sheryl and I hopped in the golf cart because we had a date with a Bingo Game.  I was so excited. I haven't had a chance to play Bingo since I left Florida.  When we got to the rec center it was cancelled.  So we decided to take a tour around this huge complex.  What a site...just beautiful beach homes, one after the other.

My evening ended late and once last walk for the dogs and I was ready to hit the sack.  See you in the AM.

Day One Of Our Rally In Myrtle Beach

Hubby and I left on Saturday for Myrtle Beach. We will be attending an IRV2 Rally for the week. We are staying in Ocean Lakes RV Resort right on the beach.  This place is huge. Not only does it house hundreds of RVs, but it has beach homes, condos, a huge grocery store, deli, rec center and the works.

We spent Saturday night in Florence and it poured the entire night. Sounds like a repeat of our last trip.  Daisey starting stressing again and we just don't know what to do for her.  I gave her pain meds and she seems to do much better after it kicked in. This morning she ate and seemed normal.....then we walked the two girls to the beach and they were not happy. Seems the waves and sand scared them...so now Daisey is not eating her dinner and back on the couch.  I think I will continue her meds during the day to help her out....

It's been very overcast today and cool, but so far no rain.  We are awaiting the arrival of friends who will be attending the rally too. Should be any minute....so for now I'm going to sit outside and wait for them.....

They finally arrived. We all drove up to the rec center so they could sign in and then we went to rent golf carts.  Now for sure you know it's going to rain. Now we will be attending our meet and greet dinner and our first night of the Rally will be over.  Time is already passing by fast. The salt air smells good. A big difference from smelling the wooded area we live in.
